ANNOUNCEMENTS AND UPDATES

We had a great first two days of school! Thank you for sending such wonderful students our way! A few reminders as we start the

school year:

1. Please be sure to get all first-day papers filled out and returned to school. We had a great turnout yesterday and look forward

to getting the rest of them! Acceptable Use Device Agreements must be singed and turned in before students are able to receive

their laptops or chromebooks. Thank you for helping us get all of those papers returned!

2. Please be reminded that the drop-off and pick-up lanes are down the hill in front of the school. The upper drive is reserved for

emergency vehicles and for dropping off students who may be disabled/injured. Thank you for your help with this!

3. Also, thanks to all families who have called to report your student absence. Please do this every time they are absent so that you are not burdened with a robocall at 5:00 pm reporting your students absence. This will help us all!

4. Please be reminded that all students will have their own locker with a school provided lock on it. Locks need to be locked at all

times with backpacks and phones/personal items secured inside.

- You will receive daily announcements in your email each morning. You may also view them on our website

(https://hs.hassk12.org/). Announcements will usually be posted on the website by 10:00 AM each morning.

Jostens – Class Rings & Cap and Gowns

 - We had a Josten’s representative attend the Freshman and Senior Class meetings yesterday. She shared information about

class rings with the Freshmen and very important information with the Seniors about Caps & Gowns. Click here to view Jostens direct page for Hastings High School!

- FRESHMAN: Class Ring orders can also be placed online HERE or paper packets are also available with Mrs. Peake in the

office.

- SENIORS: Graduation Cap & Gown orders can also be placed online HERE. Place your order by August 31 st to be a part of the senior class group order. Order by the deadline to ensure you get the best prices, avoid late fees and guarantee timely delivery of your items. Paper packets are also available with Mrs. Maurer in the office. Please see Mrs. Maurer if you have questions!

Please place your order by September 5th to be included in the group order and receive the special group pricing and promotions available during this ordering period.

YEARBOOK

Yearbook Pickup
The next yearbook pickup will be Wednesday the 26th after school. There will be another pick up at the first home football game on August 27th!

STUDENT SERVICES

FIRST DAY PAPERS
If your student has still not turned in their first day papers (including the Blue Enrollment Info sheet with Emergency Contacts), please turn these into the front office as soon as possible.  Questions?  Please see Mrs. Erb. (8/25)

SCHEDULES

If you have an error in your schedule, the deadline to turn in your Schedule Change Request form is Monday, August 24, at 3:00 pm. The online form can be filled out using THIS LINK. or visiting the counseling webpage at: https://www.hassk12.org/o/hhs/page/counseling   (8/24)

Hand2Hand Program

We are offering the Hand2Hand program, which helps provide families food for the weekends. Parent permission is required to participate. If you would like to sign-up for Hand2Hand, please click here for the QR code to fill out the form. (8/28)

Important Message for ALL Athletes
Athletes are required to have a Final Forms account in order to participate in a sport.  This account must be set up by the parent/guardian.  If you already have an account, please make sure to update your information and upload a current physical.

Girls Golf
Attention all Lady Saxons. Do you like walks in the Sun, the company of classmates and the outdoor?  Perfect because there’s still time to join the golf team for the 2026 season. If you’re interested please Mrs. Schueller in B203 for program details, practice times and match schedules.

RESULTS from coaches

Boys Soccer
The Hastings Varsity Boys Soccer team battled hard against Battle Creek Lakeview but came up just short in a 4-3 loss.

Leading the way for the Saxons was Cooper Hokanson with two goals, while Tomas Araujo added one goal.

Goalkeeper Jason Jimenez had an outstanding performance in net, making several incredible saves and keeping the Saxons in the match.

The boys return to action this Friday at Pierce Field as they host Lee High School. Kickoff is scheduled for 5:30 p.m.

Come out and support the Saxons!
