🐾🎉 Happy 4th Birthday, Darma! 🎉🐾
One of our beloved student support dogs celebrated her big day yesterday, and today the students at Central Elementary helped keep the party going with a special birthday treat!
Thanks for bringing so many smiles to our school, Darma. We hope you had a great birthday! 🎂

🎄A big thank you to the Michigan State Police officers and Michigan DNR conservation officers for making this holiday season extra special! They visited our elementary school buildings and took some deserving students out for a Shop with a Cop experience, ensuring every child gets to enjoy a merry Christmas.

🎁 This incredible program is a true testament to the generosity and dedication of our law enforcement, both during the holidays and every day of the year. We're so grateful for their continued service and for spreading holiday cheer to our students. Thank you!!

Hastings Area School System will be CLOSED today, Wednesday, December 10, due to inclement weather. We will share updates regarding athletics and after-school activities later today.

The final addition to Central Elementary’s new playground is complete and the kids are loving it! The monkey bars, which have been a work in progress, were officially opened late last week, giving our students the chance to climb and play.

Central’s new playground, along with the playgrounds at our other elementary schools, was made possible through our 2023 bond proposal. We’re grateful for the community’s support in helping us create fun, safe spaces for our students to learn and grow through play.

From superheroes to spooky ghosts, many of our halls were packed with creativity this Halloween! 🎃👻 We loved seeing everyone’s amazing costumes!

Our students looked great today! The Halloween Parade was so much fun! Thanks to all our parents for showing up.

As a reminder, Central Elementary has a half day today and will be dismissing students at 11 a.m.

Don't forget that tomorrow (October 31), we will be holding our Halloween parade, where our students will show off all their fun and creative costumes. We will be walking outside around the building at 10:15 a.m. and we invite parents to come check it out!

Our school board will meet tonight at Central Elementary. Board meetings are always open to the public.

Region 3, District 2 semifinals will feature a familiar pairing on Friday night as the Saxons take on cross-county rivals Thornapple Kellogg. Their first meeting this season was a thriller!

Tickets for district semifinals are $7 and will be sold exclusively online at GoFan.co. Ticket sales open later this afternoon.

Please note: The game falls on Halloween night, and a portion of Green Street, a main roadway here in town, will be closed for trick-or-treating for much of the evening. Be sure to allow extra time and plan an alternate route.

Please follow this link for your Central News and check out the Halloween information included! The outdoor parade starts at 10:15 on 10/31! https://secure.smore.com/n/mbf6q-central-elementary
