The Young Citizenship Award recognizes students who show exceptional character, leadership, positive attitudes, and dedication to serving others.
Presented by the Hastings Kiwanis Club, this award honors two 5th graders each month, as well as two students from each grade level at the Middle School. It’s a wonderful way to celebrate kids who do the right thing every single day!
Congratulations to our September winners! Check out the photos below, and stay tuned as we celebrate a new group of students each month. 👏 👏👏 👏

State funding for our district is directly tied to student attendance on this day. Making sure your child is present and on time ensures our school receives its full share of state support. Let's make sure every student is counted!

Dear Parents/Guardians,
We are looking forward to Parent-Teacher Conferences and will hold them in-person at Central on October 6th and October 8th. This is a very important time for your child, and it is extremely important that parents and teachers meet to discuss student progress. In order to better schedule appointments, each teacher is offering sign-up on a Sign-Up Genius. Please choose an available time that works best for your schedule. If you have multiple children at Central, you may want to consider allowing a time slot between conferences in case any conferences are running behind. If you have issues with the Sign-Up Genius, you may contact your child’s teacher or the school office at (269) 948-4423 for assistance.
Since conference times are limited, families are asked to schedule ONE conference per child. If possible, please try to allow a 15 minute window between siblings’ conferences. Thank you for your cooperation. Classroom teachers will be sending the Sign-Up Genius links via email or Facebook, and you can find a complete list of the building sign-ups here:
